Use starter templates

Every brand comes with a set of ready-made post briefs. They cover the posts most businesses need again and again. Think limited-time offers, quick tips, customer spotlights and seasonal moments. Open Templates in the sidebar to browse them. Each card is one dialog away from a post waiting for your approval.

You can use starter templates, but you can’t edit or delete them. If you saved templates of your own in the past, they show in the same grid. See Save and reuse templates.

Browse the catalog

Each card shows:

  • The template’s category and name.
  • The brief. That’s the instructions the AI will follow.
  • A topic chip, and an icon for each platform the template is made for. Hover over an icon to see the platform’s name. Icons are faded for platforms you’ve never connected. If a connection stopped working, its icon still shows in full color.
  • A Most used badge on up to three starter templates your brand uses most.

To narrow the list, use the search box, the category chips or the platform buttons. You can pick one category at a time. You can pick as many platforms as you like. A template shows up if it’s made for any platform you picked.

Search also looks inside the brief. So a card can match even when its title doesn’t have your word in it. The count line always tells you how many matched. If nothing matches, a Clear filters button shows up.

Create a post from a template

Select Create Post on any card. One dialog handles the whole thing:

  1. Post name: how the post is listed on the Posts page. It starts out filled in from the template. You can rename it on any plan.
  2. Post brief: starts with the template’s brief. The AI writes your post from it, and you review everything before it posts.
  3. Angles: chips that point the brief at one idea. See the next section.
  4. Imagery direction: what the post’s image should look like.
  5. Posting to: the template’s platforms are picked for you if they’re connected. A platform that isn’t connected shows “Not connected” and can’t be picked. If one of the template’s own platforms isn’t connected, a Connect in Settings link shows up. Pick at least one platform. If nothing is connected yet, you can pick any platform.
  6. Select Create & send for approval. The button changes to “Writing the post…” and then “Creating the image…”.

The app writes the post and makes one AI image for it. Then the post’s page opens, and you see “Post created — sent for approval”. The post is pending. Nothing publishes until you approve it.

This uses one AI text generation and one AI image from your plan. If the image can’t be made, the post is still created. You’ll see: “The image couldn’t be created — add one from the post’s page.” If you’re out of AI images for the month, the “You’ve hit your plan limit” window opens too.

Close the dialog after you’ve changed anything, and it asks “Discard this post?” first. Select Keep editing to go back. That way a stray press of Escape never loses your work.

Steer it with angle chips

Each starter template comes with a long list of angles. They show as chips right under the brief.

  • Five show at first. Show 10 more adds more of them. The search box looks through the whole list. If a search finds 20 or fewer, the link says Show all instead.
  • The order stays the same for your whole session. So a chip you saw once will still be there if you open the dialog again.
  • Picking a chip rewrites the brief and the imagery direction for that angle. A message pops up with an Undo button. The Reset to template link brings back the original text at any time.
  • You can use one chip at a time. Pick the same chip again to go back to the template’s own text.

Chips work on every plan. They’re the built-in way to point a template at today’s idea.

Change the text yourself

On the Pro plan and up, you can also edit the brief and the imagery direction right in the dialog. Your changes shape this one post only. They’re never saved back to the template.

On the Starter plan, the template text is fixed. You can read the fields, but you can’t change them. If you try, a note says “Template text can be edited on a higher plan.” It has an Upgrade link. See plan limits. Angle chips still work, so you can always change the angle.
