Create your first posts with AI
Describe what you want to say, pick the platforms, and let AI write a post for each one. Every post it writes lands in your queue as pending. Nothing publishes until you review and approve it.
Before you start
You need a brand set up first, since AI writing draws on your brand’s voice and topics. You don’t need any connected accounts yet. You can draft and approve posts before connecting anything, and connect later.
Steps

Select + Create Post in the top bar. This button is available from any page. A dialog opens with ✨ Generate with AI selected by default. If you’d rather write the post yourself, select the ✍️ Write it myself tab instead (see Write a post yourself).

Enter a short Name for the post (up to 120 characters). This is a label for your own reference, not part of the published text.

In What’s this post about, describe what the post should say, for example “Remind clients enrollment ends December 7 — invite them to call for a review.”

Under Platforms, choose which social networks get a post. Platforms you’ve already connected are selected for you. Platforms you haven’t connected yet appear as a dashed, greyed-out chip. Selecting one takes you to Settings → Connections to set it up instead of adding it to this post.
If you haven’t connected anything yet, every platform stays selectable so you can draft first and connect later.
If nothing is connected and no template has set platforms, Facebook and LinkedIn are selected for you as a starting point. Change this if you plan to post somewhere else.

Optionally add up to 10 images. See Add images to a post for the per-platform limits and warnings you’ll see if you add more than a platform supports.

If you selected Instagram and haven’t added an image, a note appears: “Instagram requires an image or video — its post can’t publish until you add one here or on the post’s page.” You can still generate the post now and add an image afterward.

Select Generate Post.

Writing takes about 30 seconds. You’ll see: “Writing your post… this usually takes about 30 seconds.”

When it finishes, you land on the new post’s page. One version of the post was created for each platform you selected, and every version starts as pending.
What “pending” means
Pending means the post is written but not approved, and a pending post never publishes on its own. The reasoning behind that gate is covered in Why every post starts pending.
There is no scheduling field in this dialog. Every post you create lands as pending first. You choose when it publishes afterward, from the post’s page or the Content page. See Schedule posts for later.
If something goes wrong
“Select at least one platform”: You tried to generate without choosing any platform chip. Select at least one, then try again.
“We couldn’t find your business profile. Pick or create one on the Brands page, then try again.”: Your account has no brand set up yet, or the one you had is gone. Select Go to Brands → in the error message, create or choose a brand, then come back and try again.
“Generation failed”: A generic failure with no more specific message available. Try again in a moment.
“Upload failed”: An image you added in the dialog didn’t upload. Try adding it again.
LimitExceededModal (“You’ve hit your plan limit”): You’ve used up your plan’s monthly AI writing allowance. Upgrade your plan or wait for next month’s reset.
