Manage your contacts

See everyone who has signed up through your capture form, search and export your list, and permanently delete a contact’s data on request.

Before you start

Contacts is available on paid plans. If your plan doesn’t include it, the Contacts page shows this instead of your list:

Build a contact list from your posts

Add a capture link to any post and collect emails on a branded signup page. Lead capture is available on paid plans.

Select Upgrade to unlock to go to the Billing page.

Steps

1. Open Contacts

Select Contacts in the sidebar.

Below the page title, you see your current usage: {used} of {limit} contacts stored (on an unlimited plan, this reads {used} contacts stored with no limit named). This counts every unique person you have on file for this brand. Deleting a contact frees up a slot.

2. Search your contacts

Type into the search box to filter the list. Search matches against name, email, and phone number. The list updates automatically as you type.

If no contacts match, you see: “No contacts match your search.” If you have no contacts at all yet, you see: “No contacts yet. Add a capture link to a post to start collecting signups.”

3. Read the table

Each row is one contact. The table shows:

  • Name: the name they gave, or ”—” if they didn’t provide one.
  • Email: their email address.
  • Phone: the phone number they gave, or ”—” if they didn’t provide one.
  • Source post: a link to the post whose capture link they signed up through, showing a short preview of that post’s text (or View post, if no preview is available). If they signed up through your bare form link instead of a link tied to a specific post, this column shows Direct.
  • First seen: the date they first signed up.
  • Last seen: the date they most recently submitted the form again (for example, if they filled it out a second time).

4. Export your contacts

Select Export CSV to download your full contact list as a CSV file. The button reads Exporting… while the download is in progress.

The CSV’s header row, in order, is: email,name,phone,source_post_id,consent_at,consent_text,first_seen,last_seen,submissions.

Export CSV is unavailable (greyed out) when you have no contacts to export.

5. Delete a contact

Select Delete on a contact’s row. You’re asked to confirm:

Delete {email}? This permanently removes their data.

Select OK to permanently delete that contact, or Cancel to keep them.

Deleting a contact can’t be undone. Unlike posts and media, which are never permanently erased without going through the Trash, a deleted contact’s name, email, phone number, and signup history are removed immediately and for good. There is no restore.

Repeat signups don’t create duplicates

If the same email address signs up through your capture form again, whether through the same link or a different one, it updates that person’s existing contact record instead of creating a second one. Their Last seen date moves forward, and any new name or phone number they provide replaces what was on file. Their Source post stays the same as when they first signed up, even if a later signup came through a different post’s link.

Because updates to an existing contact don’t count as a new signup, they don’t count against your contacts-stored usage. Only genuinely new people do.

If something goes wrong

“Upgrade to unlock” (on a locked Contacts page): Your current plan doesn’t include Contacts. Select it to go to the Billing page.

Loading your contact list, exporting, and deleting don’t show an error message if the request fails. Nothing visibly happens. If a search doesn’t update, Export CSV doesn’t start a download, or Delete doesn’t remove a row, wait a moment and try again, or refresh the page.
