Collect leads from your posts
Add a branded signup page to your posts so readers can leave their email (and, if you choose, their name and phone number) and show up automatically in your Contacts list.
Before you start
Lead capture is available on paid plans. If your plan doesn’t include it, the Lead Capture section on the brand page shows this instead of the setup form:
Collect emails and phone numbers from your posts with a branded signup page. Available on paid plans — upgrade to unlock.
Select upgrade to unlock to go to the Billing page.
Steps
1. Turn on Lead Capture
- Go to the brand page and find the Lead Capture section.
- Select the Enabled checkbox.
- Select Save.
2. Customize your form
In the same section, set:
- Headline: the heading shown at the top of your public form.
- Collect name / Collect phone: check either box to add that field to the form. Email is always collected.
- Consent text: the text shown next to a required checkbox on your public form. Each contact’s record stores the exact wording they agreed to at the time they signed up, so update this text any time your consent language changes.
- Thank-you message: shown to visitors immediately after they submit the form.
Select Save when you’re done. The Save button stays disabled until Headline, Consent text, and Thank-you message all have content.
3. Get your public form link
The Public form link field shows your form’s web address. Select Copy to copy it to your clipboard.
4. Add a capture link to a post
- Open a post from the Content page.
- In the toolbar above the text for any platform version, select ✉️ Capture.
- In the Add a link dialog, keep Email capture selected (it’s the default).
- Select Insert to add the link to the end of that platform version’s text.
Each link you insert this way is tagged to the specific post it came from. When someone signs up through it, that post shows up as their Source post on the Contacts page, as a link showing a preview of that post’s text (or View post, if no preview is available).
Regenerating your link
Selecting New link replaces your form’s web address with a brand-new one.
This breaks every copy of the old link immediately, including any link already inserted into a published post. Anyone who clicks the old link after you regenerate lands on “This form isn’t available.” with no way back to the new form.
Before you select New link, you’ll see this confirmation:
Generate a new link? The current link stops working immediately — posts that already include it will point to a dead page.
Only regenerate if you have a specific reason to invalidate the old link (for example, you believe it’s being abused). Otherwise, keep the same link indefinitely so links in already-published posts keep working.
How signups show up in Contacts
New signups appear on the Contacts page. If someone signed up through a link you inserted from a specific post, that post appears in the Source post column as a link back to it. Signups from your bare form link (not tied to any post) show Direct instead.
Each plan includes a limited number of contacts you can store at once. The Contacts page shows your current usage as {used} of {limit} contacts stored (on an unlimited plan, it shows {used} contacts stored with no limit named). Once you’re at your limit, new people can no longer sign up through your form until you free up room (for example, by deleting old contacts) or upgrade your plan.
If a visitor submits your public form with a brand-new email address after you’ve hit your contacts limit, they see “This form is not accepting submissions right now.” shown inline under the form. Anyone submitting an email address you’ve already stored can still succeed. The limit only blocks genuinely new signups.
If something goes wrong
“Your capture form is disabled. Enable it in brand settings.” (in the Capture button dialog, with “brand settings” as a link): Lead Capture is turned off for this brand. Go to the brand page and check the Enabled checkbox in the Lead Capture section, then save.
“Lead capture is available on paid plans.” (in the Capture button dialog): Your current plan doesn’t include lead capture. Select Upgrade to unlock to go to the Billing page.
“Could not load your capture form. Try again.”: The Capture dialog couldn’t reach the server. Close the dialog and try again.
“Could not load lead-capture settings.”: The Lead Capture section on the brand page couldn’t load. Refresh the page.
Troubleshooting “This form isn’t available.” on your public form
Visitors see this same generic message for several different underlying causes, on purpose. The public page never reveals which one it is. If a reader tells you your form is dead, check these from your side, in order:
- Is Lead Capture turned on? Go to the brand page → Lead Capture and confirm the Enabled checkbox is checked.
- Does your plan include lead capture? If the section shows the “Available on paid plans” message instead of your form settings, your plan doesn’t include it. Upgrade to restore the form.
- Was the link regenerated? If someone selected New link since the link was shared or posted, the old link is permanently dead. Copy the current Public form link and share or re-insert that one instead.
- Is your contacts quota full? Check the contacts-stored usage on the Contacts page. If you’re at your limit, the form stops accepting new signups until you free up room or upgrade. People you’ve already stored can still be reached. The limit only blocks new ones.
