Reset your password
Use this if you’ve forgotten your password and need to get back into your PostSignoff account.
Steps
- Go to the sign-in page and select Forgot password?.
- Enter your Email and select Send reset link.
- You land on a “Check your email” screen with the message: “If an account exists for that address, a reset link is on its way.” You see this message every time, whether or not that email address has an account. PostSignoff doesn’t reveal which emails are registered.
- Open the email and click the reset link. It takes you to a page to set a new password.
- Enter a New password of at least 12 characters.
- Enter the same password again in Confirm new password. Save password stays disabled until both fields are filled in correctly and match.
- Select Save password. You’re taken to the sign-in page. Sign in manually with your new password.
If something goes wrong
“Use at least 12 characters”: your new password is shorter than the 12-character minimum. Lengthen it and the message clears once it’s long enough.
“Passwords don’t match”: the two password fields don’t have the same value. Retype Confirm new password so it matches exactly.
“That reset link is invalid or expired.”: the link has already been used, or it’s too old. Go back to the sign-in page, select Forgot password?, and request a new link.
“Email is required”: you selected Send reset link without entering an email address. Enter your email and try again.
No reset email arrives. A few possibilities:
- Check your spam or junk folder first.
- The address may not be registered under an account. The “Check your email” message doesn’t confirm either way.
- If you signed up using only Google, Facebook, or X and never set a password, there’s no password to reset, so a reset link won’t help you sign in. See Manage how you sign in. PostSignoff doesn’t currently offer a way to set a password on a social-only account.
