Create your account and sign in
Create a PostSignoff account to start writing and approving posts. You confirm your email once, then sign in with your password or a connected social account.
Before you start
Have a working email address ready. You need it to confirm your account before you can use PostSignoff.
Steps
- Go to the sign-up page.
- Enter your Name, Email, and Password. Your password needs at least 12 characters.
- If someone gave you an invite code, select Have an invite code? to reveal the field, then enter it. This step is optional.
- Select Create account.
- You land on a “Check your email” screen. Open the email PostSignoff sent you and click the link in it to confirm your account.
- Confirming the link signs you in automatically and takes you to the Content page, your review queue.
If you entered an invite code, its outcome shows as a banner on the “Check your email” screen: Code redeemed., or a message telling you the code didn’t work and that you can redeem one any time from the Billing & Usage page.
Sign in with Google, Facebook, or X
On the sign-up or sign-in page, select Continue with Google, Continue with Facebook, or Continue with X if you see it. You’re sent to that service to approve access, then returned to PostSignoff signed in.
Google and Facebook can create a brand-new account this way. X cannot. If you’ve never signed up before, continuing with X sends you to the sign-in page with a message that the account isn’t linked to anything yet. Create your account with email, Google, or Facebook first, then connect X afterward from your profile.
Connect X from Settings → Profile, under Connect another sign-in method.
Social buttons only appear when that provider is turned on for this installation. If you don’t see one, it isn’t available to you.
Sign in with a password
- Go to the sign-in page and enter your Email and Password.
- Select Sign in.
If something goes wrong
“Name is required” / “Email is required” / “Use at least 12 characters”: Shown under the matching field on the sign-up form. Fill in the field, or lengthen your password to at least 12 characters, and try again.
“Could not create account.”: Something went wrong creating your account and no more specific message was available. Try again in a moment.
“Your confirmation link has expired”: The link in your email is only valid for a limited time. Select Resend email on the screen that appears to get a new one.
“This confirmation link is invalid”: The link doesn’t match an account, or has already been used. If you’re signed in, select Resend email to get a fresh link. Otherwise enter your email and select Send new link.
“Could not send the email — try again in a moment.”: The resend attempt failed. Wait a moment and select Resend email again.
“That code is not valid — you can redeem a code any time on the Billing & Usage page.”: The invite code you entered at sign-up wasn’t accepted. Your account was still created. Go to Billing & Usage and redeem the code there once you’re signed in.
“We could not redeem your code — you can redeem it any time on the Billing & Usage page.”: The redemption request failed to reach the server. Your account was still created. Redeem the code later from Billing & Usage.
“Invalid email or password.”: Shown on sign-in for any mismatch between your email and password. This message doesn’t distinguish a wrong password from an unrecognized email. Double-check both, or use Forgot password?.
“That X account isn’t linked to anything here yet — create an account first, then connect X from your Profile.”: X (Twitter) can’t create a new PostSignoff account. Sign up with email, Google, or Facebook, then connect your X account afterward.
“An account with this email already exists. Verify your email first, then try again or sign in with your password.”: You already have an account under this email. Confirm your email if you haven’t, or sign in with your password.
“That account is already connected to a different user.”: This social account is already linked to a different PostSignoff account. Sign in to that account instead, or use a different social account.
“Social sign-in failed. Please try again or use your password.”: A generic failure from the social sign-in attempt. Try again, or sign in with your email and password instead.
