Get notified on your phone

PostSignoff can send push notifications to your phone or desktop — even when the app is closed. Notifications cover exactly two events:

  • A post failed to publish — so you can retry it before the moment passes.
  • A new contact came in — someone submitted one of your lead forms or the contact form.

That’s the whole list. PostSignoff does not send reminder or marketing notifications.

Turn notifications on

  1. Open PostSignoff and go to Settings → Notifications.
  2. Turn on Enable on this device.
  3. When your browser asks for permission, choose Allow.

Notifications are per device and browser — turning them on on your laptop does not turn them on on your phone. Repeat these steps on each device where you want alerts.

On iPhone and iPad

iOS only delivers push notifications to web apps that are installed on the home screen. Add PostSignoff to your home screen first — see PostSignoff on your phone — then open the installed app and follow the steps above from inside it.

Choose which events notify you

Once notifications are on, two checkboxes appear under Notify me about:

  • Publish failures
  • New contacts

Unchecking one stops that event on all of your devices — the preference is account-wide, while the on/off toggle is per device.

Turn notifications off

  • One device: turn off Enable on this device in Settings → Notifications on that device.
  • You blocked them in the browser: if the page says notifications are blocked, re-allow them in your browser’s site settings (the toggle can’t override a browser-level block), then return to Settings → Notifications.

If the toggle won’t turn on

  • Not supported in this browser” — on iPhone/iPad this usually means you’re in the browser tab instead of the installed app; install it first.
  • Notifications are not configured on the server” — your PostSignoff deployment hasn’t enabled push yet; contact your administrator.
  • Permission was not granted” — the browser prompt was dismissed or denied; try again and choose Allow, or clear the block in site settings.
