Glossary

PostSignoff’s terms, defined in plain language. Each entry lists the other names people use for the same thing.

Acknowledgement

Your recorded confirmation that you read the compliance findings and chose to publish anyway.

Also called: acknowledgment, checkbox

Approve

To clear a post for publishing, either at its scheduled time or when you press Post Now. Nothing publishes without approval.

Also called: sign off, publish, accept, OK

Archive (media)

A holding area for media you want out of the way but kept forever.

Also called: hide, stash, put away

Brand

One business identity: its name, voice, logo, colors, and the social accounts it publishes through. Everything you see in the app belongs to the brand selected in the top bar.

Also called: business, business profile, company, agency, profile

Campaign

A label that groups related posts so you can filter and track them together.

Also called: series, theme, batch

Capture form

A public signup page in your branding that collects names, emails, and phone numbers from people who click a link in your posts.

Also called: signup page, lead form, landing page, funnel

Compliance review

An automatic reading of your draft against marketing rules for your industry before you can approve it. It assists your judgment. It isn’t a certification.

Also called: check, scan, audit, Analyze

Connection

The authorization that lets the app publish to one of your social accounts. Connections expire and can be renewed.

Also called: account, social account, login, integration, hookup

Content page

The review queue where you approve and manage posts before publishing.

Also called: queue, feed, approvals, inbox, my posts

Expired

A post that reached its scheduled time without being approved, so it missed its publication. It can be brought back for review.

Also called: timed out, disappeared, vanished, my post is gone

Failed

The app tried to publish and the social network refused. The reason is recorded on the post.

Media library

Every image and video you have uploaded, generated, or imported, reusable across posts.

Also called: photos, images, uploads, gallery, assets

Pending

Written but not yet approved by you. Nothing publishes from this state.

Permission to Contact (PTC)

A Medicare-specific consent form a beneficiary signs to allow you to contact them, recording exactly what they agreed to and when.

Also called: consent form, medicare form, scope of appointment

Plan limit

The monthly or standing allowance your subscription includes for a given activity (posts, AI writing, storage, and so on).

Also called: quota, cap, allowance, ran out, upgrade

Platform version

A per-platform copy of a post: the customized version that publishes to a specific social network.

Also called: channel, variant, tab

Post

One piece of content you create once. The app keeps a separate copy for each social network you selected.

Also called: post group, content, draft

Post Now

Publish a post immediately, with no scheduling. This goes live right away.

Also called: publish immediately, send it, go live

Schedule

Set a post to publish at a future time. Your post stays in the queue until the scheduled time arrives.

Also called: queue for later, auto-post, set a time

Sign-off

A short line of text automatically added to the end of every post (for example, your agency name and phone number).

Also called: signature, footer, tagline

Stock photos

Images available for free from Pexels that you can add to posts, credited to Pexels and its contributing photographers.

Also called: pexels, free images, image search

Storage add-on

Extra media storage purchased in blocks on top of your plan. It stays with you if you change plans.

Also called: more space, extra storage, GB

Template

A saved starting point for new posts: a topic plus instructions that guide what gets written and what images get made.

Also called: saved post, preset, reusable post

Trash (media)

A holding area for media you intend to delete. Items are removed permanently after 30 days.
